About

A finishing partner for work that deserves care.

Final Stage Post House is a Philadelphia-based finishing studio led by artists with a technical spine. We specialize in the point where color, sound, and delivery stop functioning as separate tasks and begin serving one finished experience.

Our workflow is deliberate, transparent, and built around trust. Scene-referred color, phased approvals, calibrated review, HDR mastering, and delivery specs are established early so the creative work has space to become more precise.

We work with directors, cinematographers, agencies, and producers who want the last stage treated as authorship, not cleanup. The goal is to protect the intent of the project, sharpen what matters, and deliver a master that feels resolved.

Services

Color. Sound. Final delivery.

FSPH brings the core finishing disciplines into one clear workflow, so image, sound, and delivery support the same creative intention.

C

Color Grading & DI Finishing

Color is built through a scene-referred pipeline from ingest through Look Development, primary grade, secondary refinement, and final DI mastering.

Every grade is shaped around the story, the camera material, the agreed visual language, and the final destination: broadcast, streaming, theatrical, SDR, or HDR.

The goal is simple: an image that feels intentional wherever it plays.

S

Audio Post & Sound Design

Dialogue, design, mix, and stem delivery are managed as one connected process.

Sound is treated as narrative language. It carries pace, weight, intimacy, space, and tension.

The final mix is calibrated to the picture, so the piece feels composed rather than assembled.

D

HDR Mastering & Final Delivery

When a project calls for HDR10, Dolby Vision, archive masters or platform-specific packages, they are scoped in the estimate and prepared with the same attention as the creative finish.

Specs are clarified before the finish becomes urgent, and deliverables are checked before release.

The result is a calmer handoff, fewer late-stage surprises, and a master built for where it needs to live.

Every discipline leads to the same outcome: a final master that holds creatively and technically.
Process

We keep the finish clear from the start.

A strong finish depends on clear stages. Look Development, color feedback, sound notes, conform questions, and delivery specs each need the right moment in the process. We map that path early, keep approvals aligned, and make sure each decision protects the next one. Each project gets the stages it needs, so a social cut or an AI spot runs leaner than a feature.

A conversation about the film before anyone talks numbers. We look at the cut and the deadline, and figure out together if we're the right room for it. If we're not, we'll tell you.

We agree on the color pipeline and the delivery specs up front, while there's still time to get them right. Your editor gets clear turnover notes, so the move from edit to finishing goes smoothly.

Before the grade starts, we go through the locked cut with you and flag anything that will fight the finish later, like a hard transition or a shot that won't match. Small fixes here save real time down the line.

For projects that need a look built from scratch. We grade a handful of key shots in four directions. We call it the Quad. You pick one or mix them, and we write the result into a Look Bible that you keep.

Balance, exposure and continuity across every shot. We work scene-referred when the footage allows it, so the image keeps all of its range. This is where the look gets carried through the whole piece.

The detail work, scaled to the project. A feature or a campaign might get shot-by-shot attention on skin and skies. A social cut or an AI piece usually needs a lighter pass. Either way, every move serves the look you approved.

When sound is part of the job, it lives in the same room as color, so the mix is built against the final grade. We clean up the dialogue and build the design and mix, then deliver the stems your estimate calls for.

The online edit and any titles come together on the finished grade. If the project needs motion, 3D or a DCP, our Network partners plug in here and you still only talk to us.

Every master is checked against the delivery spec before it leaves the studio. Anything that would bounce at a platform or a festival gets caught here, while it's still an easy fix.

You get the masters listed in your estimate, labeled and ready for where the piece is going. That might be a single social master, or HDR10 and Dolby Vision versions when the project calls for them. The last week stays calm because every stage before this one did its job.

Every stage protects the next one.

Thought Leadership

Finishing is a creative discipline.

Great post-production is not cosmetic. It is where the audience begins to feel the full intention of the piece.

Look Development gives the project its visual thesis. Color changes how a story breathes. Sound changes how close it feels. Finishing makes sure those decisions survive the technical realities of delivery.

That is why our process is staged, calibrated, and collaborative. Clear approvals create better creative decisions, and better decisions create a stronger final master.

The final stage should make the work feel seamless.
